Rustin’s clear plastic coating is a cold cure, two-part finish based on Urea-Formaldehyde resins plasticized with Alkyd. It produces a finish that is highly durable and resistant to impact, abrasion and most solvents. It will enhance the natural colours of the wood and does not yellow or craze on ageing. Hardened chemically by the addition of a hardener it will stay usable for 2 to 3 days once mixed. Unmixed clear plastic coating will keep for several years.
